CALLIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP In order to qualify to apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements: (1) You must be a high school senior planning to attend an accredited four year college or university, community college (12 credit hours minimum full-time) or a full-time trade or Technical School student. (2) Currently have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) (3) First year church member must have attended at least 30 Sundays (i.e. Sunday Worship Service, Sunday School or Bible Study, to get credit for attendance). Second year and beyond Church members must attend at least 15 Sunday Worship Services) (4) Student must demonstrate their involvement in community service, either through church, school or personal volunteer activities. This is an opportunity given to a deserving High School graduate, in honor of our beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and servant, ANTHONY CURTIS TUTT. The Tutt family is committed to contributing to the growth and development of a student who is an active member of the Macedonia Church Family. The Tutt Family will award one (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to the chosen recipient. The scholarship may be used to assist with tuition, housing or other college expenses. In order to qualify to apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements: (1) Be an active member Macedonia Baptist Church. An Active Member is one who is united with the Macedonia Baptist Church through baptism, Christian experience, or by letter and actively participates in a ministry.The (2) Be a graduating high school senior that has been accepted to a college, university, or trade school (full time) for the coming fall semester. (3) Submit a completed Anthony Curtis Tutt Scholarship application, provide a copy of an official or unofficial transcript, and two letters of recommendations by the established deadline. The Application 1. The application packet is electronically available, directly from a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church Scholarship Committee. 2. Applications should be either typed (electronic application is a fillable document) or neatly printed using black or blue ink. 3. All applications are to be signed and dated by the applicant. A Parent or legal guardian's signature is required for applicants under 18 years of age. 4. Letters of Recommendations should include: statements relative to the applicant's qualities, accomplishments, contributions and/or personal characteristics. One letter of recommendation should be from a faculty member at your school Letters must include a signature and the position of the person writing the letter. An electronic signature is acceptable. 5. Transcript(s), letters of recommendation, and letter of acceptance into a college, university or trade school, must be included in the application packet.
